TOKY Featured in 2019 Graphis Poster Annual

Graphis Feature

Graphis, an international organization recognizing the absolute best in design and visual imagery, has selected several pieces of TOKY’s work for its 2019 Poster Annual.

GOLD: Poster for Creative Process, an arts lecture series from Saint Louis Fashion Fund.
TOKY photographed designer and fashion incubator member Charles Smith II and used the image behind hand-drawn type inspired by apparel construction.

 

GOLD: Pale Fire Eclipse Poster, a creative exercise by team TOKY.
The Pale Fire poster is inspired by the book of the same title and its focus on the connections between space and time.

 

SILVER: Eclipse Myths Poster Series, a creative exercise by team TOKY.
Each poster draws inspiration from a different culture’s explanation for eclipses.

HONORABLE MENTION: Eyes Eclipse Poster, a creative exercise by team TOKY.
The Eyes poster is inspired by the line of totality (which St. Louis happened to be in).

The Diagram poster pays homage to textbook diagrams that distill a complex occurrence into a simple explanation.

 

HONORABLE MENTION: Corona Eclipse Poster, a creative exercise by team TOKY.
The Serendipity poster celebrates the many events that must simultaneously occur to create a full eclipse.
