Plenty of firms offer integrated design and construction solutions, but Chicago-based Wight & Company embraces cross-disciplinary collaboration as a core part of its culture. Wight asked TOKY to build a site that puts this “Design & Delivery” approach front and center.
World-Class Design and Build
The unique Home page slideshow invites visitors to choose between two portfolios: “Design,” which links to markets, services, and projects that fit under design, and “Delivery,” which showcases the firm’s construction services.
People and Process First
Along with introducing the rebrand, Wight wanted to bring its people to the forefront online. Team members are featured throughout the site, from People and Profile pages to the Home page. The site also incorporates sketches, blueprints, renderings, and behind-the-scenes video to further highlight the process behind Wight’s award-winning portfolio.
Flexible Project Pages
Given its diverse range of design, construction, engineering, and all-of-the-above projects, Wight needed an online portfolio flexible enough to fit this wide range of content. The highly adaptable content management system includes two separate Project page templates: one for spaces with big, beautiful photographs, and another for projects lacking in imagery.
Celebrating 75 years
In addition to the main site, TOKY designed and developed Wight’s 75th anniversary microsite. This interactive timeline celebrates the firm’s history through photos, stories, and videos from decades past. The site also invites employees, clients, and partners to submit their own memories of Wight.
