As the landscape architects, urban designers, and planners behind some of the most iconic public spaces in the Midwest, SWT Design was ready to broaden its scope to a national scale. The firm tasked TOKY with creating an identity and website to represent its industry-leading work and comfortable culture.
Design is a Living, Breathing Thing
The “LIVING DESIGN” theme crystallizes SWT’s three brand pillars: “Leadership/No Boundaries/Heart.” The new brand identity evolves the distinctive wavy bottom of the firm’s original logo, doubling it back upon itself to create a kind of infinity symbol — appropriate for a firm creating elegant spaces from the cycle of life.
Peer Review Awards
Human + Nature
Video shorts capture moments of light and shade passing through projects in different seasons, of blossoming plants and wildlife, and of firm principals in the environments that influence their work. TOKY’s photographers collected dozens of landscape and detail shots, building a library of custom photography for marketing materials and the website.
A Site That Moves
Innovation runs through the site, including a Home page with multiple video shorts that bring the firm’s “LIVING DESIGN” branding to life. In the portfolio section, dynamic sliders allow for a more customized project search.
“We were given the opportunity to go to Studio Gang’s office, and the principal in charge said to us, ‘Oh, we know who you are. We went to your website and we can see that you’re very serious about your profession.”
