Catholic Health Assembly 2016
OVERVIEW
Hosted by Catholic Health Association (CHA), the Catholic Health Assembly is an annual gathering that brings national leaders together to address the future of healthcare. Pulling inspiration from the words of Pope Francis, TOKY created an event branding system that feels thoughtful and human-centered, much like the Catholic approach to healthcare.
The Culture of Encounter
The logo encapsulates the event’s “Culture of Encounter” theme. Often referenced by Pope Francis, this term is a call for openness, dialogue, and non-judgment — all of which are reflected in the mark’s handmade, airy look and feel.
WHEN HEART SPEAKS TO HEART
Three primary illustrations anchor the event materials, featuring human moments in healthcare, from dialogue and outreach to intimate patient-doctor interactions. The brushy, fluid watercolors of this imagery flow seamlessly with the hand-painted logo.
AN OPEN DIALOGUE
The event invitation is textured, tactile, and interactive — a reference to the human touch that is so vital to quality, compassionate healthcare.
SETTING A COLORFUL SCENE
TOKY also brought the watercolor textures and hand-lettered statements to the event itself, creating wayfinding and environmental graphics including a massive branded wall that extended 80 feet through the venue.
