TOKY is looking for a Senior Brand Strategist/Copywriter who can lead projects and help our clients develop the most powerful version of their brands.

We develop ideas that define how brands are expressed and experienced, from foundational design and messaging to employee and customer engagement. The Senior Brand Strategist/Copywriter is a consultant and creative problem solver, leading clients through complex brand challenges, and delivering powerful insights and narratives derived from research, industry knowledge, and design thinking. You will own and lead multiple projects while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

This position helps set the foundation for our clients’ brands and influences organizational leaders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the experience and presence to inspire respect with clients and colleagues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead brand strategy engagements, collaborating with account managers, researchers, and the strategy/copy team
  • Plan and execute research including brand audits, competitive assessments, workshops, client/customer interviews, and analysis
  • Develop brand strategy recommendations
  • Create key components of brand communication including mission, vision, purpose, position, promise, voice, and narrative
  • Craft strategic and creative writing for multiple projects, adapting style and tone based on audience, channel, and client
  • Present research, strategy, and brand messaging to clients
  • Partner with our design and interactive teams to translate messaging into visual execution
  • Work on multiple projects with independence, sometimes under tight deadlines
  • Uphold the highest standards for all agency work
  • Maintain an understanding of trends, technologies, and branding best practices

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of agency experience in creative or brand strategy with an understanding of marketing, branding, and communications
  • Experience creating research-supported brand strategies that answer complex business challenges
  • Broad copywriting experience/proficiency ranging from brand manifestos to websites and brand content
  • Strong presentation skills
  • History of collaborating with clients to create consensus and delivering strategic insights and compelling brand messaging
  • Proven ability to build client relationships as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience with brand/employer culture strategies is a plus
